About Me:

I have made art for as long as I can remember. Suddenly, picking up a paintbrush or a pen was not only something I enjoyed doing in my free time, but it became a way of expressing myself, my passions, and my emotions through pieces of art I created. My interest in digital art only began recently, after I decided it was important to prioritize this hobby of mine which brought me so much happiness and give it the attention it deserves so I could become a better, stronger artist and learn to create art in other mediums outside of my comfort zone. I have only ever worked on canvas with acrylic paint as well as dabbling in both digital and film photography. Although I love it dearly, it is time for me to allow my art to find new heights through digital art mediums.

I always try to approach everything in life through a lens of optimism, beauty, and love. I often see this translate into the art I create. My art projects love – self-love, love for the earth, and love for one another. I feel that it communicated this through the underlying message of the piece, but also in its vibrant colors and composition. I am always on a journey of finding confidence in my life – whether that’s in my own skin, in my art, or in my relationships, and I frequently try to portray this through my artwork as well. I often try to create beautiful work to help me reflect, work through emotions, and find empowerment in more self-love. I am also a very spiritual person, and try to find an escape from some of the obstacles life throws at me through trusting in the universe, in fate, and in my own abilities. I find freedom and escape in my art, and that is how I tend to approach art when I begin a new project.

I feel that I am still trying to understand and find who I am as an artist, and I am still working to learn my style. I hope that with some professional instruction, the right amount of attention, and the courage to push myself to try new things, I can continue to grow as an artist. I have had no experience working in digital art, and I’ve been too nervous to stray from paint, canvases, and basic film and digital photography, but now is the time to take the leap I have been too scared to do before. I won't let the fear of failure or compassion stop me from giving myself this opportunity.  I am ready to open myself up to learning new programs, techniques, and skills through which my art can have the room to expand, change and flourish.
